Privacy Policy for Nibi

Nibi is a personal planner for tasks, events, reminders, notes, contacts and documents. This policy explains how the Android app handles data.
Data you create in Nibi
Tasks, events, reminders, notes, contact details and documents that you add are stored locally on your device. Nibi does not provide accounts, cloud synchronization, or a server for this content. You can delete this content in the app; uninstalling the app removes its locally stored app data.
Device permissions
Nibi requests access to contacts only when you choose to import a phone number into a contact. It requests notification permission only to show reminders. It may use the Android exact-alarm setting to deliver a reminder at the time you selected. When you choose a document, image or contact, Android provides access only to the item you select. You can deny or revoke these permissions in Android Settings.
Analytics and crash reports
Nibi uses Google Firebase Analytics to measure app use, including screens viewed and app/device identifiers. It uses Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash and stability reports, which can include crash traces, app and device metadata, and installation identifiers. We use this information to understand usage and fix reliability problems; we do not add names, contact details, notes, documents, or other planner content to Analytics or Crashlytics.
Advertising
Nibi displays banner advertising through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Google and its advertising partners may process device or other identifiers, IP address, app interaction data and diagnostic information to deliver, measure, and protect advertising. Where required, Nibi presents Google's consent form and provides a Privacy options control in the app. You can also manage advertising preferences in your device and Google Account settings.
Sharing, retention and security
Planner content stays on your device. Analytics, crash-report and advertising data are sent to Google as the provider of Firebase and AdMob; their processing is governed by Google's policies. These services use encrypted connections in transit. Local planner data is retained until you delete it or uninstall the app. Firebase and AdMob retain service data under their applicable retention settings and policies.
Children
Nibi is not directed to children under the age at which they can consent to data processing in their country.

We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
